Sk8school and Eastbourne Sk8 M8s trip - Boat Race!

The Roller Boat Race for Eastbourne Skaters and Beyond!

This will be a big party! Lots of skaters coming from all over - to Barcombe Mills for a sedate and sensible (ok probably not) - Boat Race!

We always look for something special to do eash month and some of the events we run are so popular they become annual events with a following in their own right.

This is one of those events :)

The Schedule

Sunday 4th July 2010 from about 2:30pm onwards. (At Barcombe Mills - Anchor Pub)

There will be a convoy leaving Eastbourne from about 2pm - heading for the Anchor Inn.

We plan to get there.... Hire Kayaks (£6ish per person) and then explore the river Ouse.

Sk8 M8 John has volunteered to police the entire operation to ensure there is no:

• Capsizing
• Water Pistols
• Walking the plank
• Boarding Parties
• Splashing
• Mucking About

Everyone Agrees he is the ideal person to police this!

When/Where to meet up in Eastbourne

Meet at Mr & Mrs T's for about 2pm, we'll do the usual convoy, car optimisation etc.

Food and Drink / Preparation

The Anchor does food and drink so you won't need to worry there. However there is a very slight chance of getting damp so put all valuables in something water resistant and bring a change of clothes.

Other Skate Events

Winter Months - Learn to Skate Dance (TM)(C)- Tuesdays - Never done it before? Then it's FREE! Is it a lesson, a work out or just great fun? Find out - try it!

Summer Months  sees the Sk8 n Chips (TM)(C) alternate Thursdays each month Turning Circle 7:45pm - see Sk8 M8's

Summer Months Sausage and Roll breakfast skate (TM)(C) - alternate Saturdays 9am each month. Starting at the Skaters Cage - see Sk8 M8's

Winter Months - FREE open skate (TM)(C) every Sunday 11am at Shinewater. The only FREE indoor skating in Eastbourne.

Sk8School has references for after School Skate Clubs and other in curriculum activities from a variety of schools in Sussex: St. Andrews, St. Beads, Causeway, Polegate High School, and Hastings High School.

We also run a number of private functions, like kids skate parties. If you'd like something different to make an occasion special, why not try a professionally run skate party? We can cater for large and small groups, indoor and out all year and we have skate hire.
