Eastbourne Roller Disco - Outdoor - Redoubt Roller - August 7th

The Redoubt Roller is back - Eastbourne's only Monthly Outdoor Roller Disco! You can look forward to a perfect floor, excellent music and light show, games, face painting and Wii dance to round off the evening.
6-10pm Saturday 7th August. Skate Hire available, non skating parents go free!
Tickets will be available at several local outlets shortly. Huge discounts for advance tickets in bulk.
Ideal for ages 6+. If you are not sure you're skills are ready for Roller Disco, get yourself along to any SK8school lessons or events for a free evaluation.
Further dates for 2010 include September 4th - If you can't make that one, you'll have to wait till May 2011!
Kids Summer Skate Camp - July 28th

The regulars will know we run the Kids Club, teaching kids to skate through games every Sunday at 10am. For the Summer Holidays we adding another day and providing a Kids Summer Skate Camp. The first session will be 10am Wednesday July 28th and this will then run every Wednesday and Sunday through the summer holidays. All classes at the SK8school Skaters Cage at 10am.

Beat the SK8school Gladiskater at Roller Jousting this weekend!

This weekend at Eastbourne Extreme, Sk8school will be bringing several new events to its Skating area. You can check out all the details of our Eastbourne Extreme Skating Program on the link. Roller Jousting is our closing event both days, but there is plenty more to see and do all day.
If you've got an annoying skating problem you need expert help on, or want to wear your kids out for an hour - we have just the event for you!
Alternatevely you might be looking for something different to try, like roller hockey, football or tag rugby and Roller Derby - all of which will be showcased at the SK8school Skating arena of Eastbourne Extreme.
We started this event in 1998 and the formula then was to bring in the best possible demos of all forms of skating and then get the public trying it. This is the winning formula that we are bringing back now that SK8school is properly involved and represented.

Eastbourne Extreme 2010 - the SK8school area

This year Sk8school have their own area and time table for Eastbourne Extreme, bringing back the original style of the event. Top demo's followed by the opportunity to have a go and learn from the experts. See the Eastbourne Extreme 2010 Skate Program from SK8school here.
Roller Buggy Babies roll out again on Wednesday Morning.
Join Pam and the Roller Buggy Babies at 10am at the cage on Wednesday morning. Pam will be on hand with braking tips and then you'll be off for a relaxed prom skate with plenty of stops to ensure the little ones enjoy the view! Contact Pam for more details or see the webpage or Facebook.

Annual Roller Boat Race Sunday 4th July
Ahoy there! Time to get your skates OFF for a change and try some different excercise! This is another afternoon out hosted by your ever sensible Sk8 M8s. This time we're off to Barcombe Mills to take on a little boat racing! Obviously there will be no cheating, water pistols, splashing, capsizing, walking the plank and boarding parties. To ensure fair play the Quad God will be on hand to keep everything Ship Shape!

Sk8 n Chips - Bexhill Route - with Beach BBQ!

This Thursday is Sk8 n Chips night again - and the chosen route is Bexhill - which means meeting at the start point of the Sk8 n Chips Bexhill Route. If you fancy fish n chips you are welcome - or bring a portable BBQ and supplies and enjoy the first Skaters Beach BBQ of the summer!

Meet up at the Start point (on the above map) at about 7:30pm. Send a TXT if you're held up and we'll wait for you. The route involves the park, most of the prom and some street skating. Generally the surfaces are excellent.
Although generally flat, the route does include some optional big hills for the thrill seekers!

Saturday 19th June - Hailsham Carnival Skate

Once again Eastbourne Skate School organise the skating at the Hailsham Carnival procession. If you'd like to join in contact us for the start point, procession rules etc. We'll meet up in Eastbourne at about 1:15pm and head off at 1:30pm.
The procession lasts about an hour and sets off at 2pm sharp. Any skaters wishing to assist with bucket collections etc. should let us know ASAP. The event is organised by the Lark in the Park registered charity. Come and join in the fun and cheer us on!

Skate Guards on Duty for the Redoubt Roller

Eastbournes summer outdoor roller disco is prepared and ready to run for it's opening night tonight from 6pm. As you can see the Skate Guards are installed and on duty! Don't miss out on a unique event - the next Eastbourne Skate School Roller Disco outdoors will be August 7th - which is a long time to wait. So set the video recorder and come along tonight :)
Tickets tonight are available on the door and the weather is going to be perfect.
Convex are running the catering and Glitzys are handling the glow sticks and face painting. The Laser show is from GYSO and there are several unique events lined up for the evening so come along and see a Roller Disco that won't run you round in the usual circles!
Redoubt Summer Roller Disco - Tickets now ON SALE.

Tickets are now on sale for the first date of the Summer Outdoor Roller Disco at the Redoubt Fortress! You can get your tickets by mail order from SK8school, or at any SK8school lessons and events. Additionally tickets are available at LOCO, RE-AL, Ride n Joy and (soon) Natural Fitness Centre, during normal opening hours.

Annual Treasure Hunt 23rd May

There are only a few days more to go - and then its time to race to the buried treasure!
What you dig up is yours to keep and you get to look after the SK8 M8s Treasure Hunter Trophy for the year.
This year the Treasure Hunt starts at the Harbour and ends at Ride n Joy. As per usual being the fastest in no way guarantees a win - there are plenty of points to be gained figuring out the brain teasers and spotting the clues along the way.
As usual - everyone of all ages is welcome - skaters are prefered but its fine to skateboard, walk or cycle or Quadricycle if you like!
Skate Dancercise with Asha tonight

Asha is taking the dance class tonight! Nice and easy moves to start with in the first hour, gently building up to more complex routines in the second hour.
Lots of fun, a gentle work out and a superb addition to your skate skill base. These routines and excercises will assist you balance, core fitness and improve your skating ability.
Not only that, but you'll look pretty cool at the Redoubt Roller Disco through the summer!
All the action kicks off at the skaters cage at 7:30pm and we'll go on till 9:30pm or till the light fails which ever comes first. Those that like pool are welcome to join us all afterwards for a few friendly games!
Tuesday Beginners NFC and Improvers+ Dancercise at the Cage
Tuesday is always a busy day for SK8school, because we provide the Natural Fitness Centre with their Skate Lessons at 10am. Then at 7:30pm we all meet up in the Cage for the Experts and Improvers Dancercise - this week with Guest Instructor Asha.
