If you want a quiet space to practice, with no agenda, noise or games the Quiet Skate is the session for you. This is a booked in advance, prepaid weekly skate suitable for those people that just want to practice quietly through the winter. Limited numbers (20) means you'll get the peace and quiet and hall space you'll need to keep your skills topped up.
Cost is £4 per week payable monthly in advance. There are 21 sessions at Shinewater, every Sunday 10am. Those booking the first 10 sessions at once pay only £35 (taking you up the last session of 2010) Those booking all 21 sessions pay only £60. This offer closes on September 15 and remember places are limited! First come first served! If you know you can't make a particular week you can send someone in your place.
Obviously those doing the quiet skate are free to stay on for the FREE open skate at 11am as well - which means those booking all 21 sessions will be getting 42 hours of skating - that's about £1.40 an hour!
FREE Open Skate
If you are happy to go with the flow this is the session for you - every week at 11am we run a FREE open to all skate at Shinewater. Obviously this session could be busy! But thats why we offer a Quiet skate for those that don't want the rush and crush!
Mastering Skating Lessons - Our Intensive Skate Lesson Program is back!
Intensive courses on the advanced techniques of Stopping, Backwards and Turns, from the only Instructors in Eastbourne Qualified to teach you.
Eastbourne Skate School has the only instructors qualified and insured to run advanced skate lessons in Eastbourne. Choose your course or take all of them at a discounted rate. Book before September 15th and get up to 50% off. Several instructors will be on hand to ensure everyone has instruction to suit their level, from improver to expert.
Mastering Stopping
Several different stopping techniques covered in a 2 hour intensive session. Only SK8school has instructors qualified to safely teach powerslides, hockey stops, lunge and T stops etc. Learn over 20 ways to stop in one concise class. Read more about Mastering Stopping on Skates...

Mastering Backwards
Probably the main skill people associate with the "Expert" is going backwards - but there's so much more to this course than that. This course covers most of your forward skating skills in reverse. Including transitions, turns and stopping. Read more about Mastering Backwards Skating....

Mastering Turning
There are a great number of turns available once you've gained some control of A-frame and Parallel turns. Building up to the forward cross over and Three Turn. Mastery of edges is key to these skills and our Experienced instructors are qualified to get you performing these advanced moves with the minimum of effort. Flow and Grace are side effects of getting these hign levels of control. A must do course for the improver or expert with something to prove! Read more about Mastering Turns and Edges on Skates....

Skate Sports Day
Ok so you can skate... now you are looking for a challenge, but don't want anything too hum drum... This session is for you - try some really alternative sports and entertainment on skates, under the watchful eye of a fully qualified PE and Skate Instructor! This will be the opportunity to try out Volleyball on skates, basketball, Roller Football, hockey, Tag Rugby and a host of other games, team sports and excercises!
Shinewater Tuesday Nights October 26 and November 23rd. 8-10pm £5 per person.
Dancercise with Wii Dance
The popular Skate Dancercise class is back with a free style twist in the second half - Wii Dance! Friday nights 7-9pm will be the 2 hour dancercise session, covering the best in Freestyle skate dance, combined with a little skate fit work out and hilarious Wii Dance on Skates.
Shinewater Fridays Nights 7-9pm Weekly.
Kids Winter Skate Camp
Our popular Summer Skate Camp is carrying on Indoors for the winter. This session is the ideal way to get kids improving their skating without them even realising its a skate lesson! We teach children to skate using specially developed skating games.
£5 per session, ideal for 5-13 year olds.
